University of the People is a tuition-free online university offering distance-learning courses. At present, the University does not charge application and assessment processing fees; however, these fees will not necessarily be waived in the future. There is no fee for any learning materials. Everything is available via UoPeople’s website and online using free Internet resources.
Eligibility:
UoPeople accepts anyone who has graduated high school, has access to a computer and the Internet and has sufficient English skills to complete the English-only courses. Applicants need to complete the application requirements and undergo an application process in order to be accepted into the program.
Application instructions:
Applicants should follow a 5-step application process. The admission process is administered in 5 terms annually. The deadline for Term 3 is 30 December 2010 for studies commencing on 3 February 2011.
